The BS-Free Version of a Kundalini Awakening

Let’s demystify what a Kundalini awakening truly is.

Kundalini does not just activate energy.

It reshapes how you relate to everything.

A Kundalini awakening is not a “woo woo” moment or some mystical highlight.

It’s a real transformation.

It begins as a whisper in your body and rises like a current, burning through what is false so your truth can take the lead.

This energy lives within you, dormant, waiting.

And once activated, it sparks a level of awareness that doesn’t fade.

It’s not a shortcut.

It’s not always bliss.

It doesn’t follow a straight line.

This process is honest, physical, and deeply personal.

It’s a process of shedding illusions.

Your system recalibrates.

Old wounds surface to be released.

Emotions move through.

Patterns shift.

Synchronicities show up.

Your perception sharpens.

You begin to remember who you really are.

Something deeper than identity, anchored in presence.

Relationships change.

Desires evolve.

You stop chasing.

You start tuning in.

You feel more.

You know more.

You move differently.

You become clear, direct, aligned.

It’s not always easy.

But it’s real.

And it asks everything of you.

Let’s be clear about what truly happens in a Kundalini awakening.

To avoid expectations.

To avoid shortcuts.

It’s an internal process.

No one can do it for you.

And it doesn’t turn you into someone else.

We’re all human beings doing our inner work.

Transformation is ongoing.

It doesn’t end.

We evolve. We expand.

We come back to ourselves, with more awareness, more sensitivity, and a deeper sense of responsibility for how we live and lead.

The Energy That Brought Me Here

There’s a mantra in Kundalini practice:

“Eka Mai”

It means The One Mother.

The primal source.

The creative intelligence behind everything we feel and experience.

This mantra found me long before I understood it.

And like many things in this path, it didn’t come through theory.

It came through energy. Through practice. Through breakdowns and breakthroughs.

Eka Mai is not a poetic idea.

It’s a remembering.

That there is one origin. One source. One current of life that runs through all of us.

When I felt that in my own body, something shifted.

That’s what led me to become an instructor.

Not to claim knowledge — but to honor the fact that I could awaken this current, embody it, and hold space for others to do the same.

This is what Kundalini has done for me.

It didn’t make me more “spiritual.”

It made me more present. More grounded. More honest.

It brought me home to myself.

And You?

If you practice Kundalini — or if you’ve experienced this kind of transformation through another path — I invite you to share it.

What shifted in you?

What changed?

Not to compare.

But to remind each other of what’s possible when we do the work.

And if you can’t think of a practice or experience that’s brought you into this kind of connection with yourself, ask yourself this:

What are you doing daily to come back to you?

Do you have a daily practice , a sadhana?

If not, maybe it’s time to start asking that question.
